Agon Systems appoints Jacloc as Concept Tag distributor for Australia & New Zealand
Agon Systems has appointed EAS security solutions company Jacloc Pty Ltd as the distributor of the Concept Tag in Australia and New Zealand.
Jacloc’s team, headed up by entrepreneur Robert Bodill, has been working at the forefront of retail technology for the last 15 years.
They will now be taking the Concept Tag – the ‘World’s Most Secure Tag’ that is proven to reduce retail theft by up to 66 per cent – to market Down Under.
One of their first orders of business has been to supervise the installation of the Concept Tag in JD Sports’ first group of stores in Australasia, including their newly-opened store in Sydney (pictured below).
Sean Welch, Managing Director of Agon Systems, said: “We’re very happy to be working with Jacloc – 2017 has been a banner year for us so far and this is another great step forward.
“I’m positive that the fantastic success of the Concept Tag has had throughout Europe will continue in Australia and New Zealand thanks to the expertise of Robert and the whole of the Jacloc team.”
Robert Bodill, managing director of Jacloc, said: “We are delighted to become the official distributor of the Concept Tag in Australia and New Zealand.”
“Jacloc is aiming to be at the forefront of innovation in the retail security sector over the next decade. We are very pleased that the Concept Tag, which has been proven to be so effective in reducing tagged garment theft in Europe, will be part of this work moving forward.”
With 15 years’ experience helping retailers sell and secure products, Mr Bodill shared some insightful trends.
“This is a new generation of shoplifters who are smarter, globally connected, better resourced and more confident than ever before. Standard, old-style security tags are no match and offer little more than a visual deterrent.
“Our research shows that some Australian retailers are losing as much as a $100,000 per store, per year, due to malicious external theft. You would assume these are stores with no security, but you would be wrong – all have the same standard, old-style security tags. They simply don’t work anymore.”
The Concept Tag fits in seamlessly with the existing suite of Jacloc products, as well as our philosophy of focusing on achieving a demonstrable return on investment for customers.
Robert has been overwhelmed with the response the Concept Tag has been getting so far, with initial results being incredibly promising.
He explained, “We have had multiple big brands confirming test sites across Sydney and Melbourne. Not only that, our first customer, who protects 50,000 items with Concept Tag has not had a single tag removed in the last six months.”
